--国家级皮影雕刻大师、皮影鉴定家
陕西皮影源远流长，名声远扬，人才辈出。一位集皮影雕刻、鉴定、研究和表演于一身的皮影艺术家已向我们走来。汪天稳技艺超群，业绩不凡，知其者无不称奇。
汪天稳，1949年出生于陕西东路皮影发祥地--陕西华县，12岁被中国著名皮影雕刻艺术大师李占文先生（第一批国家授予十大艺术大师之一）收为关门弟子。环境的熏陶，名师指点，加以自身的聪颖好学，终于成为名师旗下的得意门生。从此，便步入了他的皮影艺术生涯。1978年至今在西安美术研究所皮影研究室主持皮影研究、创作工作。
汪天稳从事皮影艺术40余年，可谓耕耘不止，妙刀生花。如今，在皮影雕刻、皮影鉴定等方面不仅培养了一批又一批名家高手，他本也成果累累，炉火纯青，引起国内外的广泛关注。其主要成果有：
1976年，与上海美术电影制片厂合作拍摄皮影、木偶剧《皮影轻骑兵》（又名《迎春花开》）。
1981年，随师进京为北京人民大会堂陕西厅设计完成大型皮影屏风《文成公主进藏》，受到国务院及陕西省人民政府、省委办公厅嘉奖。
1982年，受邀为日本国立民俗博物馆负责设计、刻制《孙悟空大闹天宫》全套，深受日本友人的赞誉。
1984年，受邀为原国家轻工部创作的皮影《帝王出巡图》一套,获轻工业部优秀奖。
1993年,受邀进京为中国美术馆整理、鉴定明清时代皮影收藏品数千件。
1994年，与西安电影制片厂导演鲁韦合作参与《关中皮影》的拍摄工作。
1999年，受邀为上海博物馆和上海美术馆整理、鉴定馆藏所有明、清时代皮影。
2000年，其作品参展中国工艺美术大师作品博览会，获雕刻创作优秀奖。
2001年，与台湾皮影艺术家陈初实合作拍摄幼儿皮影宣传动画片。
汪天稳先生是把陕西皮影推向旅游品市场的主要奠基人。
2002年初汪天稳先生成立“汪天稳皮影工作室”和朋友尹雪峰、王勇共同致力于陕西皮影的创作、发展。
汪天稳先生艺德高尚，刀法娴熟，其作品精致至极，已成为皮影爱好者、收藏家不可多得的艺术精品。目前，他的皮影作品，不仅成北京、上海、广州等各大城市旅游热销产品和许多博物馆的收藏品，而且，已飘洋过海，远销欧美等国。另外，汪天稳几十年来，还注重皮影艺术的挖掘、整理、研究和收藏，已存有数千件明、清时代的皮影精品，其中不乏成套剧目稀世珍品。
